Production and Warehouse Manager

 

Location Mendon, MA

Responsibilities

Production Responsibilities:

·       Manage print production projects from inception to completion and shipment of final product.

·       Develop and maintain production schedules, creating and managing project timelines, updating multiple calendars and tracking systems to ensure on time delivery.

·       Create and maintain job status in project management systems for each job.

·       Periodically partner with the finance team to manage the production department budget.

·       Work with cross-functional team members to ensure that requests are clear and achievable, providing communication in real time.

·       Manage color calibrating printers to ensure top print quality and manage overall quality control of print production department

·       Manage the cleaning and maintenance of all printers.

·       Ensure the environment is clean and safe at all times.

·   Analyze the department’s performance and implement new methods if needed to increase accuracy and efficiency. 

Fabrication Responsibilities:

·       Facilitate the planning and organization of the shop and develop necessary processes and procedures to ensure an efficient and well functioning department.

·       Manage fabrication projects from inception to completion and shipment of final product.

·       Develop and maintain fabrication schedules, creating and managing project timelines, updating multiple calendars and tracking systems to ensure on time delivery.

·       Ensure all materials needed for current and upcoming projects are in stock or are ordered.

·       Create and maintain job status in project management systems for each job.

·       Work with cross-functional team members to ensure that requests are clear and achievable, providing communication in real time.

·       Periodically partner with the finance team to manage the fabrication department budget.

·       Manage the cleaning and maintenance of all tools and equipment.  

·       Ensure the environment is clean and safe at all times.

·   Analyze the department’s performance and implement new methods if needed to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Warehouse Responsibilities:

·   Plan, manage and administer all aspects of the Visual Magnetics warehouse facility. This includes receiving, storing, stocking and distributing supplies, following all Visual Magnetics procedures.

·   Keep stock and inventory up-to-date. Maintain reports on all inventory requested, received and distributed.

·   Periodically conduct inventory checks by doing physical counts, reconciling the data with our systems.

·   Recommend and implement a computerized inventory system for the department.

·   Oversee and uphold all warehouse procedures and practices, ensuring the space is maintained properly and safely. Make any safety recommendations as needed. This includes adhering to all federal, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements.

·   Inspect the warehouse and equipment regularly and ensure maintenance and repairs are completed if needed.

·   Recommend and implement a budget for the warehouse department.

·   Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all materials are received and distributed as needed to contributed to the companies overall efficiency and success.

·   Facilitate fork lift training and certification.

·   Analyze the department’s performance and implement new methods if needed to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities:

·       Travel as deemed necessary for the business.

·       Attend tradeshows as deemed necessary for the business.

·       Manage the schedule of the company vehicles, their periodic cleaning and ensure that routine maintenance is completed.

Qualifications/Experience:

·   Must have 3-5 years of experience in production with a deep understanding of project management, printing procedures and overall processes.

·   Must have 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management.

·   Print Production experience is a plus.

·   Must have experience with fabrication management.

·   Must have experience in using project management tools.

·   Must have current knowledge on inventory control methods and procedures as well as federal, state and local rules and regulations.

·   Must have experience operating warehouse equipment.

·   Must be detail oriented, proactive and comfortable managing a large workload in a fast paced environment.

·   This role is deadline driven, so must be confident in ensuring consistent high standards, efficiency and delivery work on time.

·   Must be able to work and build relationships cross-functionally.

·   Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

·   Must have superb English verbal and written communication skills .

·   Must be proficient with Microsoft office software and Adobe Suite.

·   Must work well with a small team of people, be eager to wear many hats and help with unexpected challenges
